Centre Philosophy

At Truscott Street OOSH, our practice is centred on children. Our environment fosters inclusion, collaboration, imagination and respect. The service provides a safe environment where children have a sense of belonging and are celebrated for their differences. We build strong relationships with families and work together to encourage children to engage in opportunities for self-discovery, environmental awareness, social and emotional growth in a safe and nurturing environment. The National Quality Framework for School Age Care (‘My Time, Our Place’ 2012) and its Principles, Practice and Outcomes guides our practice which is evident through our dedication in providing a positive learning environment that nurtures children’s sense of ‘being, belonging, and becoming’.
